HOSA Students Get High Marks

The ability to learn is something that is an ongoing process.  Here at TDS, we’re full aware and so excited when young people help us educate the public on the importance of organ and tissue donation. So, three Dickson County High School students Lexie Wilson, Caitlin Annis and Rachel Bell get high marks from us for their recent HOSA community awareness event.

The students, active in Health Occupation Students of America competed in a community awareness event at the regional competition, held at Middle Tennessee State University on  Jan. 13.

After weeks of preparation, the trio knew they were ready to make their community more aware of a health-related topic, choosing organ donation. This was determined after research and finding that only 36 percent of Dickson Countians are currently signed up to be organ donors.
